Our Story

It all began with a suitcase.

When Finnish mom Anni noticed parents carrying boxes of xylitol mints from Finland back to the U.S., she realized something important was missing. In Finland, the birthplace of xylitol, kids grow up with simple, trusted routines that protect their teeth. In the U.S., families had no such choice.​

 

For Anni, the idea was not just business. As a single mom raising her daughter in New York City without family nearby, she felt the daily challenge of doing it all and the wish to give her child the best start in life. XyliBear became her way of turning that challenge into something positive.

To bring the idea to life, she teamed up with her longtime friend Ida, a fellow Finnish mom and lawyer who shared her belief that families deserve safe, effective alternatives to fluoride. Together, they created XyliBear, a friendly bear from Finland with one mission: to make kids’ dental health natural, joyful, and stress-free.
